The Hollywood Casino features more than 1750 slots machines and 62 gaming tables. The house also includes 19 tables poker room. For novice or veteran, daily poker tournaments are taking place there. The poker series is headed to Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg for a 12-day, 13-event series in early April. Located just a 20-minute drive west from Cincinnati, Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg proved a popular stop for the HPT last year when the tour made its first visit.
Season 4 of the Hollywood Poker Open (HPO) kicked off last week with their Regional stop at Indiana's Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg. This weekend, that stop culminates with the $1,115 Main Event, a tournament PokerNews will be live reporting.
'Season 3 of the HPO was the tour's biggest yet, and it's only going to grow,' said PokerNews Editor-in-Chief Donnie Peters. 'Lawrenceburg will be the kickoff of Season 4, and you'll want to start playing these events early in order to give yourself the best chance to qualify for the HPO Championship next summer in Las Vegas. PokerNews is excited to be providing live coverage of the HPO's upcoming season and we hope to see you at all of the stops, starting with this one.'
Since PokerNews will be on hand, players will have the opportunity to use the MyStack app to update their hands and chip counts straight into the live blog.

One player who will be in action is 2003 World Series of Poker champ Chris Moneymaker, who has once again returned as HPO Ambassador.
'I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to host the Hollywood Poker Open tournament series,' said Moneymaker. 'Each year the HPO continues to grow and further cements its reputation as one of the leading poker tournaments in the country.'
Last year, 35-year-old Jesse McEuen topped a then record-setting field of 207 players to win the HPO Lawrenceburg for $49,676. If that name sounds familiar, it may be because he won a WSOP bracelet back in 2013 when he took down the $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em Ante Only event for $212,093.

Please Gamble Responsibly
Do you believe that you, or someone close to you, might have a gambling problem? If so, help is available! Please click the following link to the California Office of Problem Gambling or call 1-800-GAMBLER. Most people who gamble do so socially and for fun and usually don't risk more than they can afford. These gamblers may 'chase' their losses to get even, but not for long. Normal gamblers do not get obsessed about gambling. Medical professionals refer to problem gamblers as 'pathological' gamblers, while Gamblers Anonymous calls them 'compulsive' gamblers. These gamblers may start out having fun but then they begin to lose control of their urge to gamble, and gambling begins to damage their lives. A compulsive gambler may be consumed for a short or for a long time with gambling, finding money to gamble with, irrational thinking, and continuing the gambling behavior in spite of negative consequences. For more information on problem gambling, please click on the following links: California Office of Problem Gambling or California Council on Problem Gambling or call 1-800-GAMBLER.
